Constantin Basica is a Romanian composer, conductor and multimedia artist. He received his Bachelor's degrees in Classical Composition and Orchestral Conducting from the National University of Music in Bucharest and, with an Erasmus scholarship, he studied for one year at the University for Music and Theatre in Hamburg. He returned there in 2008 and started a Master's degree in Multimedia Composition, which he recently finished with the grade "very good".

Basica's interests in music are very diverse, ranging from a teachership for conducting at the "George Enescu" High-School in Bucharest to concerts with his electro band "Rezistenta Materialelor" in Romania (Bucharest) and USA (New York). His acoustic compositions include pieces for solo instruments, chamber ensembles and orchestra, which were performed in Romania (Bucharest) and Germany (Hamburg, L├╝beck and Bayreuth). Basica received five composition prizes in Romania (Bucharest and Ploiesti). Lately, he has been focusing on studying algorithmic composition and creating electroacoustic and multimedia pieces, which were already performed several times in Germany (Hamburg and Karlsruhe), Ireland (Cork), Romania (Bucharest) and USA (Boston). During his Bachelor's studies, Basica had the chance of conducting several youth orchestras in Bucharest, as well as one of the orchestras from the National University of Music Bucharest. In July 2011 he conducted the premiere of the musical theater piece "The Last Godot" by Victor Coltea at the University for Music and Theatre Hamburg.
